Our Programs

Early Learning & Care for Children from 12 Months to 12 Years Old

ACPC provides early learning and care for children 12 months to 12 years. Children participate in planned activities geared toward their developmental levels. Full day programming is available for children up to Kindergarten. Before and after school care is provided at a variety of sites in Ames for school age children.

All sites operated by ACPC are licensed by the State Department of Human Services. ACPC policies and state regulations ensure that all children are supervised in safe, yet warm and relaxing environments. The sites we operate are located in downtown Ames or in neighborhood schools to ease the travel time for our parents and children.

Our Programming & Tuition

Is Made for Everybody!

To assist families to access quality early childhood programming, ACPC offers families a variety of weekly scheduling options to fit their needs. Additionally, our program utilizes sliding fee scale tuition. This program is made possible through funders at ASSET (Analysis of Social Services Evaluation Team) including the City of Ames, Story County, United Way of Story County, and Iowa State Student Government. The sliding fee tuition takes into account family size and income to assist families in maintaining employment and furthering their education. ACPC also proudly accepts childcare assistance through the state of Iowa. Military families can also utilize the Child Care Aware program to assist with tuition while attending ACPC's Main Center.

Our teachers have access to bidirectional messaging, share information, pictures, and videos on an ongoing basis through use of the Procare Connect app as well as data and goal setting at family conferences three times each school year.
